Why Attend the Instructor Leadership & Development Conference (ILDC)?
This 2-day conference covers educational principles and practices and provides instruction/communication skills for designated members interested in teaching Appraisal Institute courses and for exisiting instructors who are interested in teaching new advanced education courses.
Who Should Attend?
Incoming instructors
Designated members who currently are not approved to teach for the Appraisal Institute but are interested in becoming approved to teach Basic Appraisal Principles and Basic Appraisal Procedures.
Existing Appraisal Institute instructors
Instructors who have excellent ratings and meet specific criteria who would like to be approved to teach the Appraisal Institute’s new advanced education courses: Advanced Income Capitalization, Advanced Concepts & Case Studies, and Advanced Market Analysis and Highest & Best Use.
Conference Presentations Include:
- Appraisal Institute Instructor Policies and Procedures
- Appraisal Institute Onsite Policies
- The Do’s and Don’ts of an Appraisal Institute Instructor
- Content walkthrough sessions covering three new advanced education courses: Advanced Income Capitalization, Advanced Market Analysis and Highest & Best Use, Advanced Concepts & Case Studies
- Train the Trainer Workshop – Teaching Adults & Active Learning (includes brief mock teaching session with constructive critiques)
- Content walkthrough sessions covering Basic Appraisal Principles and Basic Appraisal Procedures
- Video tapings of prepared presentations (incoming instructors)
